Technology dominated in August as it outperformed the overall market cap range in 3 of the 4 segments. Technology issuers had an overall performance of 20% in August.

2. S&P/TSX VENTURE INDICES PERFORM STRONGLY YET AGAIN

TSX Venture-centric indices represent 7 of the top 10 best performing indices in August. The S&P/TSX Venture Consumer Staples Index finished August well ahead of the second best performing index with a monthly return of 59%.

3. HORIZON ETFS SOAR IN AUGUST

Horizons ETFs represented the top 3 performing ETFs in August, each appreciating at least 23%. Furthermore, of the top 10 performing ETFs, the Horizon ETFs accounted for 6 of the top 10.
