The following are some key observations of the TSX and TSX Venture Exchange markets:

1. STRONG OCTOBER

After a couple flat months, all market cap segments showed strong returns in November, with an average 14% increase in monthly performance.

2. LARGE CAP LIFE SCIENCES GETTING HIGHER

Led by a 184% monthly increase by Aurora Cannabis (TSX: ACB), the Life Sciences sector in the Large Cap segment had the best monthly performance at 63%.

3. HORIZONS ETFS DOMINATE

Seven of the top ten performing ETFs in November were from the Horizons family of funds, with three of those funds focused on the cannabis space.

4. CONSUMER STAPLES LEADS ALL INDICES

The S&P/TSX Venture Consumer Staples Index led all Indices with a 55% increase in November and four additional Venture-focused indexes also made the top 10.
