1. MARKETS UP IN MARCH

Each market cap segment had positive performance in March, with Large Cap up by 5%, Mid Cap up by 3%, and both Small Cap and Micro Cap were up by 6%.

2. RESOURCE SECTORS TOPS IN MARCH

Mining was the top performing sector in March for Large Cap (+10%) and Micro Cap (+10%) segments, while the Oil & Gas sector exploded in Mid Cap (+16%) and Small Cap (+22%) segments.

3. MATERIALS INDEX TOP PERFORMER

The S&P/TSX Materials Index was the top performing index in March at +10%, while the S&P/TSX Consumer Staples Index and S&P/TSX Industrials Index were close behind at (+9% and +8%, respectively).

4. TRADING CONTINUES DOWNWARD TREND

Dollar value traded in March continues to trend downward compared to the same period in 2021 (-31%) and compared to last month (-28%).
